PolyGuru is a new tool for analyzing coating robustness under environmental exposure. It brings science to the forefront of coating selection.
Based on the coating and environmental inputs you provide, PolyGuru determines the permeation / corrosion rate of the coating(s) and the probability of coating-substrate interface failure, provided that the substrate is millscale-free. Each coating configuration can consist of a maximum of 3 coating layers (including primer) and up to 3 different coating configurations can be evaluated. This Beta version is for free!

PolyGuru is based on Chemical FEM (CheFEM) Simulation. This approach was developed by ir. drs. Sijmon van der Wal during his composite/coating consultancy jobs for major Oil & Gas, Civil Engineering and Aerospace companies.
Development and validation of the approach took 10 years and was carried out under the auspices of reputable universities, including: the Rensellaer Polytechnic Institute in the
USA, the University of Saskatchewan in Canada and the University of Groningen in the Netherlands.
